How to send e-mails with SMTP Auth in WordPress
There is an easy solution to send e-mails from WordPress to an outgoing SMTP server using SMTP authentication.
Simply install the latest version of the following plugin from the WordPress.org plugins collection:
- WP Mail SMTP (or download version 0.9.5 here)
and configure it with the following options:
- Send all WordPress emails via SMTP: checked
- SMTP host: mail.web-solutions.dk
- SMTP port: 465
- Encryption: use SSL encryption
- Authentication: Yes: Use SMTP authentication
You will also need to provide your:
- mail username (usually your full e-mail address)
- password
